In 1902, Mr. Josef Rotschne founded an emporium in Freistadt Waaggasse 15, in Austria. His son Josef, born in 1898, followed him in 1922 with a trade in ropes, bicycles, sewing machines and typewriters. Motor vehicles were then added in line with consumer needs. It was thanks to hard work and inventiveness, but above all to commercial flair, that the company was able to expand despite the unfavorable economic conditions.
Manfred Rotschne, born in Freistadt (Austria) in 1950, came into contact with cars at an early age. Having become a mechanical engineer, he works in the management of General Motors of Vienna, Porsche Salzburg, Denzel Linz and Toyota Vienna. From 1982 to 1988 he runs the car dealership I founded in Freistadt with a workshop for Volvo, Mitsubishi and Ferrari. In 1988 he retired from the automotive industry, and founded a real estate investment company with his wife, MANRO Immobilien, which has now reached considerable size.
At the age of 55 Manfred Rotschne decides to go back to his origins by giving life to the Manro Classic Museum with classic vintage cars, many cars and musical instruments (his second passion) in the town of Koppl near Salzburg, in the former factory of Kettler sports equipment.
In the museum you can admire numerous Ferrari, Mercedes, Maserati and even rare Formula 1 cars.
